Sleeve nuts are a lot similar to coupling nuts mainly in the sense that these nuts are designed primarily to bridge two fasteners having the same diameter. Most of the times, they are used in place of turnbuckles and also alongside high strength tie rods. Generally, custom sleeve nuts are tapped by RH (right hand) and LH (left hand) threaded on either ends. Consequently, slight adjustments and proper tensioning become easy after assembling. You can also order sleeve nuts with RH threads on both ends. These nuts differ from coupling nuts in the sense they are longer, a little tapered towards the ends, a stop present in the middle and normally left hand/right hand.
